A Place at the Table

AMCHAM – The American Chamber of Commerce have instigated a project called “A Place at the Table” together with the Rotary Club of Gibraltar, Lions Club and Round Table.  They have been instrumental in “twinning” our two cities in October this year.

The Project is a fundraising Thanksgiving donation to Nazareth House soup kitchen for approximately 350 Christmas hampers for those in need. More if we can manage it.

Nazareth House is run from St Theresa’s Church and normally feeds a substantial meal daily, provides facility for a hot shower, clean clothes and personal items to the homeless and those in need. Rotary have supported them over the years in many ways. At this very difficult time and during lockdown they have still managed to provide takeaway meals daily. The project is supported by Eroski Supermarkets who will provide an account for Nazareth House. We aim to assist with donations and hopefully distribution, although the latter will depend on the Covid regulations at the time.

This is a very difficult time for all but for some it is devastating. We hope you are able to assist us with a donation for this project and any surplus from the hampers will go to assisting Nazareth House thereafter to feed those in need.  Our bank details are as follows:-

Gibraltar International Bank – Sort code 60-83-14 – Account no. 016 55003 – IBAN GI20 GIBK 0000 0016 5500 003 – Swift Code: GIBKGIGI – Account Name: Rotary Club of Gibraltar – Ref: Nazareth.

The Rotary Club of Gibraltar thanks you for any assistance you may be able to provide. Just £25.00 buys the smallest hamper of essential foods. That is the minimum we hope to achieve but with fingers crossed we hope to do more.
