On Friday 4th September, the Club held a Family Fun Evening to raise funds for the family of Liam Ignacio, who are in need of a specially adapted vehicle suitable for transporting the whole family. Funds have been raised by the Club and matched by The Alwani Foundation. On the evening, Charlie and Wendy, from the Lions Club of Gibraltar presented a cheque to the family.
The focus of the evening was definitely on youth, with volunteers from the Girl Guides “manning” the various stalls – Splat the Rat, Hook a Duck, Home-made cakes, Treasure Chest and the Bouncy Castle.
Entertainment throughout the evening was provided by Elisha Lang, together with her posse of dancers, and by Sista Dee.
Liam’s favourite was the guest appearance of Olaf The Snowman! – plus the dance with PP Jennifer.
Elisha and the dancers perform Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk.
The Dancers perform to Gonna Make You Sweat(Everybody Dance Now)
Elisha performs the Whitney Houston hit, I Have Nothing.
