To celebrate our 50th Anniversary, the Rotary Club of Gibraltar hosted a Masked Ball at The Sunborn Hotel on Saturday 16th April 2016. The sell-out event was a resounding success, enjoyed by all who attended!
The guest list included the Governor of Gibraltar, H.E. Lt. General Edward Davis and his wife Lorraine, together with Lt. General Sir David and Lady Deborah Capewell.
Distinguished Rotarians, Peter Davey – RIBI President, together with his wife Sandra, Ray Dixon – District 1120 Governor, and his wife Jenny also made the trip to the Rock.
The Government of Gibraltar was represented by the Minister for Transport, the Hon. Paul Balban.
The evening included a 3 course dinner, exhibition dances from Cezar and Katerina plus music by the Paul Riley Big Band. Dancing was mandatory of course!
Each guest was given a commemorative Gibraltar stamp pack, marking the 50th Anniversary of the Charter.
A signed England football team shirt (donated by William Hill) was auctioned by Momy, raising £1200 (£3600 with the Gates Foundation addition) for Polio Plus.
